Larry Ellison, McLaren F1 of 1995 was auctioned over the weekend at Pebble Beach Gooding & Company sold for $ 3,575,000. A notable increase in value, because 15 years ago when the McLaren F1 was new and also one of the best luxury cars at that time, the car was priced at only $ 970,000.
The most expensive car sold in Pebble Beach is a classic 1959 Ferrari GT LWB California Spider Competizione 25 which sold for $ 7.26 million, but the McLaren F1 was the newest car out there. The car was the next youngest in 1969, a Ferrari 365 GTB / 4 Speciale, which sold for half the price of the McLaren.
The McLaren F1 is probably the production car, probably the only one of the 90 of this dramatic increase in the value and the weekend came to Pebble Beach # 45 Gooding ten employees of the money.
