The World’s Largest Swimmimg Pool


The world's largest pool is in the San Alfonso del Mar Resort in Algarrobo, Chile, near the Pacific Ocean. This lake has an area of ​​eight hectares and measures more than 1000 m long (1013 meters exactly), it is 35m deep and has more than 66 million gallons of filtered water from the ocean.

The pool was built in just over five years for the construction costs reached nearly $ 2 billion and $ 4 million is spent annually for maintenance only. Its turquoise waters are so clear you can see the bottom of the pool, even in the deepest part.
