Terrafugia Transition flying car called just received regulatory approval from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which allows it in public. The first car flying in the world, or as described society as an aircraft wheel, will go into production soon and will hit the market somewhere next year according to Terrafugia.
The company also announced that its flying car is the flight of the first combined driving a vehicle to receive much attention from the Ministry of Public Security vehicle standards created in the 70's. The vehicle can use a polycarbonate windshield instead of laminated safety glass regularly used in ordinary cars but could also use special tires to handle the landing.
The transition will be part of the same segment of the SUV and light trucks based on their weight, but your tires are designed for highway speeds and can take advantage of this "SUV" at an impressive rate when it is ready for takeoff. The car is expected to begin production next year and hopefully, we could see the toy on the road in late 2012.
