Largest Book of Photographs Sold for £330,000


The photographs best book ever published recently the book was sold at Bonhams, maps, manuscripts and historic photographs for sale. This piece, almost like an atlas, was bought by a whopping 330,000 pounds or $ 519,000. The final amount paid for it was actually more than 5 times the estimated price of between 50,000 pounds and 70,000 pounds.
There was some noise associated with this book at the time of the auction, as many wealthy businessmen bid for it. Includes 20 images of Egypt, Sinai and Jerusalem, all measuring 30 x 21 inches large (77 x 55 cm). Francis Frith was the man who took the photos during his trip to the Middle East in 1856. Mr. Frith has endured enormous big cameras with him to take good pictures like these, which must be observed, are not extended.

It also had to take some very dangerous chemicals and a black laptop computer room with him, all necessary for the development process. Two years later, in 1858, he published the book as a collection of images from the Middle East, with the documents signed by Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Stuart. These people were actually friends of Mr. Frith.

The book sold for £ 330,000 on 12 June was the copy that went to London.
