Chinese painting by Li Keran sold for $46 Million


An amazing painting of 1964 by Chinese artist Li Keran, who lived between 1907 and 1989, was recently acquired by a whopping $ 46 million-mind, a current record of a work signed by Keran. Called "Wan Shan Hong Bian," which roughly translates as "thousand hills in sight of crimson," the painting was put under the hammer and sold auctions spring Poly International Auction.
The painting is actually based on a verse from a poem written in 1925 by Chairman Mao Zedong, Qin Yuan Chun - called Chang. The name translates as "I see thousands of purple hills, accumulate in the dyeing of deep woods." The artist has captured exactly what the landscape, using the autumn red, brown and black tones.

It was found that the artist had painted seven versions of it, between 1961 and 1964, the largest of the seven have been sold now - it measures 1.31 meters long and 0.84 meters.

Of the seven tables in total, three are in the National Art Museum of China, China Academy of Painting and Rongbaozhai, two are currently held by Taiwanese collectors, we stayed in the artist's family and past, which was more valuable , was sold recently.
