Boeing is the first Sunday of the new generation of jumbo 747, the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental, at its headquarters in Everett, Washington. The 747 was the only airline to serve the market of the seat 400 to 500 and this new generation is even more spacious, with seating for passengers, 51,467 more than the current version of the aircraft.
The new 747 will provide lower operating costs and best economics of any large passenger plane and a better environmental performance as well. It features fuel economy 16 percent better, a carbon footprint 16 percent less per passenger and 30 percent smaller than the noise of 747 before.
In terms of design, the 747-8 Intercontinental has styling cues from the 787 Dreamliner for its interiors, including a new curved architecture that offers passengers a greater sense of space and comfort. Outside, the new 747 jumbo jet has a new livery sunrise red and orange instead of the traditional society of blue and white livery.
